Jesse Cooper, our talented Creative Director, brings an exceptional passion for the holiday season and a keen eye for detail to Light The Lights. With years of experience in NYC and Florida, he tailors each decoration to match clients' unique wishes.
Starting with a strong foundation in fine art and design, Jesse's career took a magical turn when he performed as Peter Pan for Disney. The enchanting light displays he created on stage inspired his future in Christmas decorating. Combining his background in entertainment with his love for Christmas, Jesse transforms any space into a stunning winter wonderland.

Scott Brush
Meet Our Director of Sales
Scott Brush, born in the winter, has had Christmas in his blood from the start. As a child, he was so obsessed with Christmas that he believed Santa brought his birthday presents too!
Scott's fascination with lighting began at age 12, working with his dad on McDonald’s Restaurant projects. He studied blueprints and dreamed of the final installations. This early experience led him to the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music, where he explored lighting design, and later, the University of New Orleans, where he earned an MFA in Drama and Communications.
Scott's career includes worldwide tours in various productions and a role as Hercules at Disney, where he met Jesse Cooper. Together, they co-founded Light The Lights and a nationwide hiring agency.
With a keen eye for lighting and extensive experience in electricity, Scott ensures every installation is safe and spectacular. He is excited to bring magical lighting designs and Christmas cheer to all his clients.

Jesse Cooper is on a mission to make everyday spaces feel like once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Raised in a Jehovah’s Witness household, he wasn’t allowed to celebrate holidays — a void that became his greatest creative driver. Determined to rewrite the narrative, Jesse has spent decades developing a unique design ethos that blends technical mastery with emotional storytelling, proving that décor can be more than just pretty — it can be transformative.
Nicknamed “The Miracle Decorator,” Jesse’s vibrant personality, sophisticated eye, and deeply personal mission shine through his immersive holiday décor and bespoke installations nationwide. From custom luxury Christmas trees to heartfelt, nostalgic themes, his work has graced elite properties including The Ritz-Carlton, exclusive private estates, and seasonal pop-ups that attract thousands.
Before founding Light the Lights, Jesse worked as a New York casting director, bringing his love of storytelling and people into the design world. He’s designed for celebrities and even an Emmy-winning television production company, bringing his signature holiday magic to sets and events.
Together with his husband Scott (who he met while performing for Disney), Jesse built Light the Lights from the ground up — growing it into a multi-service creative studio that brings light, laughter, and lasting memories into every space it touches.
